shapeking goes international
Our international English version under http://www.shapeking.com is online now and we have the first visitors from countries such as the USA, UK, India, Japan, South Africa and many other countries. Welcome!
In the next weeks we will translate the info area with interesting facts about 3D printing. Other languages will follow!
3D Model Viewer online now
From now on all 3D models that are available as stl files be viewed directly in the browser. The 3D viewer comes with the usual features. Just click on the model and move it with the left mouse button to the right, left or up and down. Before downloading your models, you can now examine this closely.
The best results are achieved with Google Chrome and Apple Safari browsers. With Firefox there might be (occasionally in the current version) a wrong surface design. A solution to enable WebGL by typing "about: config" in the address bar and then set the entry "webgl.force-enabled = true". In Internet Explorer, the viewer can unfortunately not be used. For the viewing of larger models your computer should have the appropriate graphics card and power.
Author of this great script is none other than Tony Buser, employees of makerbot industries in New York. Thanks, Tony!
The online viewer starts by clicking on the link "Open 3D Viewer"
